Stories of support, community, and hope from families and individuals we accompanied in Northern Bavaria.
Since the beginning of our initiative, we have been accompanying families and individuals who arrived from Ukraine to Northern Bavaria. We help them find housing, deal with local authorities, register children in schools and daycare, overcome language barriers, and rebuild their lives in Germany.
This social work brings us deep joy and purpose. Every family that moves into a secure home, every child who enters a new school, and every person who feels they have someone to turn to reminds us why we created ZusammenLeben.
Behind every apartment approval, translated form, or WhatsApp message, there are real people with families, hopes, and dreams. Here are a few words from them:
"When we arrived in Northern Bavaria, we felt completely lost with the German bureaucracy. The team helped us navigate the Jobcenter, translate letters, and finally find an apartment for our children. We are forever grateful!"
"Finding a school spot for my daughter felt impossible due to language barriers. ZusammenLeben stepped in, accompanied us to the appointment, and helped with all paperwork. She is now thriving in her class!"
"Moving into an empty apartment with no furniture was tough. Thanks to the amazing volunteers, we received basic furniture, kitchen items, and moving assistance within days. You made us feel safe and welcomed."
"Having a contact person who responds patiently to every question made all the difference in the world during our first difficult months in Germany. Thank you for your warmth and humanity."
"The translation support during official appointments was a lifesaver. Without your volunteer translators, we wouldn't have understood our rights or completed the residence permit process smoothly."
"ZusammenLeben isn't just an initiative; it's a real community. They connected us with local job opportunities and helped us feel that we are not alone in this journey."
ZusammenLeben was built on the belief that everyone can contribute to making the world a better place. Even a small action can make a massive difference for someone starting over.
